Alimak Hek AB has secured orders of 18 lifts for container cranes to be supplied to the Port of Haifa in Israel.
Today the container crane division at Alimak Hek AB secured an order of 12 lifts. The lifts are for container cranes to be supplied to the Port of Haifa in Israel. With an earlier order of 6 units, this makes it a total of 18 lifts to be installed at the port.
The lifts are of type ALIMAK SE-300 FC and will be delivered between end of 2009 to beginning of 2010. 6 lifts will be installed on STS cranes with a lifting height of 44.5 meters and 5 landings. 12 lifts will be installed on RMG cranes with a lifting height of 19 meters and 3 landings.
Port of Haifa is the busiest port in Israel and the 86th busiest container cargo port in the world. Port of Haifa handled more than 1.25 million containers (TEUs) in 2008.
