Necessity is the mother of invention, according to the saying, and if that is so then perhaps unnecessity is the father.

Most good ideas are the fruit of critical situations, or when some enterprising person tries to find a way of replacing boring and ”unnecessary” tasks.

Bo Lörgård was a truckdriver at Duni in Halmstad (Sweden) and a brilliant example of this kind of person. When he had got tired of repeatedly getting off his truck to empty tip-containers at various places in the factory, he invented a new container system - Sesam.

Bo Lörgård developed his container without any kind of grant or subsidy. The final result is protected by patent and pattern rights.

The truck-driver can adjust the forks when emptying the contents of the container, but without having to get off the truck. Tipping is not necessary. The driver simply expands the forks and the contents fall down into a larger container.

Sesam is available in six standard sizes: 600, 900, 1300, 1400, 1800 and 2600 litres. Other sizes can be made to special order. You can get Sesam nearly waterproof, equipped with net or lid, wheels which increase the height only by 37 mm.
