French poultry transport company Avilog purchased another MOFFETT-KOOI truck-mounted forklift and helped boost the company's profit as well.

Profits for French transport company Avilog increased by an encouraging 7% after it purchased a new MOFFETT-KOOI truck-mounted forklift. It has happened according to a delighted Frederic Leblanc, managing director of Avilog, based in La Chapelle d’Angillon, because the machine has enabled the company meet tight deadlines and make many more unscheduled deliveries.

Avilog made the decision to buy another MOFFETT-KOOI M9, a machine especially designed and developed for the poultry industry, to meet the Company’s growing need to handle a range of specialist breeding equipment.

The purchase has proved to be a major success for Avilog, one of the largest companies of its kind, specialising in the transport of poultry across France and currently operating 250 trucks, 70 MOFFETT-KOOI truck-mounted forklifts and employing some 460 staff.

The M9 has proved to be the perfect partner for Avilog. The machine is designed to work in areas with restricted headroom and with its all wheel drive/ differential lock offering excellent traction, even in the deepest litter. It is more than able to cope with the tough environment of the poultry house.

Fast and effective loading and unloading

When not in use, the machine is mounted on the rear of an Avilog truck and can be ready for loading and unloading in less than 60 seconds. The company now place deliveries exactly where they are needed, minimising the risk of potential damage and totally eliminating the need for manual handling.

According to Avilog, a driver can deliver and unload a truck in less than 30 minutes, reducing the risk of stress to livestock and helping to boost productivity. It also allows the company to increase the range of transport and handling services it is able to offer its customers.
