HSK Portal Harbour Cranes – Freight Forwarding

Gottwald Port Technology GmbH

Freight Forwarding from Gottwald Port Technology GmbH.

Modern, cost-effective, professional and flexible cargo handling cranes on rails that can be integrated into existing or future transport chains and infrastructures: Gottwald HSK Portal Harbour Cranes. With numerous Portal Harbour Cranes now sold, this crane model developed in 1998 in co-operation with a customer, has grown into a second successful Harbour Crane series.

Gottwald Portal Harbour Cranes combine proven technology from the Mobile Harbour Cranes with innovative, rail-mounted portals instead of the tyre-mounted chassis. Above the slew ring, they have the same components as Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes. The portals can be designed with track gauges of between 10 and 20 metres and clearance heights of between 4 and 8 metres. Freight Forwarding

In order to enable movement of railway trains and road trucks and operation of conveyor belts under the cranes, the portals are adapted to individual terminal requirements, irrespective of whether the quays ín question already exist or are only at the planning stage.

The models HSK 170, 260, 300, 330 and 360 represent a complete series with lifting capacities of 63 to 200 tonnes and radii of 38 to 56 metres. Portal Harbour Cranes offer all the advantages of the proven HMK series, including diesel-electric or external power supply alternatives for a high degree of efficiency, and diverse application possibilities involving use and quick changing of various types of lifting gear.

For HSK 170 EG Portal Harbour Cranes, Gottwald offers special travel equipment enabling the cranes to travel from quay to quay. To make crane operation possible even on quays without rails, HSK 170 EG Portal Harbour Cranes are also equipped with stabiliser pads.

Convenience on Rails
Thanks to low specific investment costs and short delivery lead times, the HSK Portal Harbour Crane is an attractive alternative in areas of application where, to date, for the most part specialised cargo handling equipment has been used, e.g. gantry cranes and continuous conveyors in professional bulk handling.

Freight ForwardingThe Gottwald HSK Portal Harbour Crane with four-rope grab offers terminal operators a high-performance, cost-efficient, rail-mounted cargo handling crane for professional bulk handling, which can be integrated into existing or future transport chains and infrastructures.

Portal Harbour Cranes also provide the ideal solution for confined quays that are already equipped with rails and are built in such a way that when Mobile Harbour Cranes are being operated, trains and trucks, for example, can no longer pass, and the work of conveyor belts is impaired.

They are also the perfect choice as a modern, flexible, and cost-efficient replacement in terminals with outdated, rail-mounted equipment.
