Logistic Support Services
NNC has a strong team of highly experienced, pragmatic multidiscipline engineers who are fully conversant with the relevant standards, including Def Stan 00-60, Def Stan 02-45, Def Stan 00-40, AECMA 1000D and 2000M and with the requirements of SMART procurement and AMS, offering an extensive range of ILS activities, including:
- Production of ILS plans and schedules tailored to meet the system requirements and project phase
- A full range of Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), from management of the complete programme to conduct of individual tasks
- Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) activities
- Cost, maintenance and spares analysis
- Documentation management and the production of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs)
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Collection and analysis of data from defects, running returns, trials and in-service demonstrations

Safety
NNC advocates a system design and engineering approach that adds value, reduces costs and improves availability. In relation to both platforms and facilities, NNC has considerable experience of the MoD’s requirements (Def Stan 00-56, JSP 430 and JSP 454) and has also influenced their development. NNC have a vast experience in developing safety cases and safety management systems for defence applications ranging from new equipment design to whole platform support, including:

Project Support Services
NNC is well acquainted with MoD’s SMART Procurement Initiative, and has been invited to contribute to a number of MoD IPTs in the area of Procurement Strategy. NNC also provides a number of other skills to the MoD and its agents, including:
Risk Management: NNC has provided the risk strategy for the Astute Class Project, and set up risk assessment methodologies for this and other clients. This includes developing risk management plans and tracking risks on the MoD’s tool PANDORA, writing terms of reference, attending risk review panels, advising MoD on contractor risk reviews and vetting prospective contractors.
Commercial Strategies: From NNC’s experience across a range of industries, we are aware of the range of commercial strategies adopted and which best match market conditions. In this context NNC, as part of the IPT industry group, has been invited to advise a number of IPT’s on their commercial strategy.
