They have been in business for 40 years, supplying marquees to major events such as fairs, weddings, tradeshows, concerts and others. Supplying marquees is an arduous task that demands speed and accuracy. Tight deadlines due to the limited duration of the events and poor accessibility to sites require flexibility, versatility and stringent scheduling. With the MOFFETT-KOOI, delivery of materials can be done by one driver without additional off-loading support, and the 4-way capability allows the materials to be positioned exactly where they are needed. “Having a MOFFETT-KOOI,” says the company’s founder, Liam Donohue, is as good as having 10 men on the back of your truck!”
The MOFFETT-KOOI is also invaluable in setting up the marquee and bringing the remains of the stand to the trailer. With the ability to handle everything, including aluminium structures up to 15 metres wide, the workload is greatly reduced making for a much happier workforce, not to mention the reduction in cost.
As well as significant savings in manpower, Donohue’s two M8 machines have helped to increase productivity by increasing the number of deliveries and collections, a major benefit particularly in the summer months when there is huge demand.
Last year, Donohues were able to supply and deliver 52 marquees to Ireland’s Ploughing Championships in a fraction of the time it would normally have taken using more conventional methods, and are planning to increase that number this year.
