Founded in 1929, FEMONT N.V. specialized in the engineering, the fabrication, installation, commissioning and automation of customised lifting and transport systems and handling equipment for medium and heavy loads. They are equipped with normal or fully automatic steering systems for stand alone as well as for fully integrated handling units, mostly operated in heavy – duty production cycles and harsh working conditions.

Product range and markets served

Overhead travelling cranes, gantry and portal cranes for intensive use. Applied for medium and heavy loads. Automated transport and lifting systems. Cutting Dies.

Non – Ferrous metal industry: Automatic cranes for loading and unloading operations in the electro winning processes and electro refineries. Coil transfer and metal sheet packing lines.

Inland Harbours: container handling gantry cranes (RTG / RMG). Nuclear industry, Concrete product industry, Refuse incineration plants, Railroad a.o. : Automatic and semi – automatic overhead travelling cranes, specially designed auxiliary lifting equipment and customised bales, grabs, manipulators and spreaders (Orange peel grabs, for refuse handling and carriers, coil manipulators etc.).

As a supplier of handling and hoisting equipment for the nuclear industries, the company has implemented a quality system in accordance with the IS0 9001 standard.

Femont's subsidiaries are FEMSTAAL (Subcontracting in the sheet metal area) and IME (IME Industrial maintenance and engineering).
