In 2006 we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Gottwald at our site in Düsseldorf-Benrath, Germany. 100 years of company history means a century of continuous changes and dynamic adjustments to the requirements and demands of our customers, markets and shareholders.

We are particularly proud that even in the difficult macro-economic environment of recent years we have been able to preserve the traditions of Gottwald, a company that once started as a small family business on the banks of the River Rhine.

Customer-orientated product innovation and comprehensive investment at our site have allowed us not only to secure the continuous growth and success of our company but to create attractive new jobs as well.

In our Mission Statement we have laid down the business principles and ethical standards which we have committed ourselves to in our everyday work and which are well understood and absorbed throughout our company.

Gottwald Port Technology is fully aware of the pillars of our success and we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our customers for their unwavering trust, close cooperation and open communication in our projects.

We would also like to thank our employees for their tireless dedication, commitment and innovation as well as our worldwide sales and after-sales representatives for their highly professional local support of our customers.

Our carefully selected suppliers and service providers have also been playing a crucial role in providing the high Quality and reliability of our port handling equipment and services.

And last but not least we appreciate the trust and support of our shareholders who have allowed us to persistently pursue our visions and strategies over the last few years.

Without the highly professional interaction of all these people and organisations we would not have been in a position in this past Fiscal Year 2004/2005 to realise the transition from traditional builder of Mobile Harbour Cranes to a system supplier of port handling equipment with a large portfolio of hardware and specially developed software. Today we can offer our customers state-of-the-art products for a variety of cargo handling applications.

As our customers can now choose to order individual machines only or to implement entire terminal systems with various degrees of automation, we provide comprehensive Consulting services. Our customers can thus benefit from tailor-made solutions based on proven technology and component standardisation.
