The International Cargo Security Council is a professional association of cargo transportation and security professionals from the entire spectrum of cargo security: air, truck, rail, maritime, and intermodal.
Committed to assuring the safe and secure movement of the nation’s commerce, ICSC’s membership fosters voluntary government and industry efforts; serves as a clearinghouse to collect and distribute information to prevent cargo-related crime; provides platforms to address transportation security issues; and supports voluntary initiatives by government and the transportation industry to develop effective programs that combat cargo-related crime.
The ICSC mission is to assure the safe and secure movement of the nation’s commerce. We achieve this by:
- Serving as national clearinghouse for cargo-security efforts, techniques, and trends
- Providing a public platform to address industry needs relating to cargo security
- Helping with voluntary initiatives that encourage research and development
- Organizing programs to combat and prevent cargo losses
- Promoting professional/ethical standards within the cargo transportation industry
- Improving technical abilities of members and others in the industry
