A new exciting UK based event for the freight transport & logistics industries Multimodal 2008, an exciting new interactive event for the freight, transport, logistics and SCM industries, has been launched with strong support from the industry.
It will take place April 22-24, 2008 at The NEC, Birmingham. Multimodal 2008 is the UK's only event that will cover the whole range of freight transportation and logistics. Covering all modes, this long overdue event will reflect the strength of the global business, address the challenges and chart the future, whilst providing both national and international suppliers an invaluable sales and marketing resource.
Multimodal is the brainchild of Robert Jervis, who has a 19 year history running successful events like Intermodal, TOC, RoRo, Cruise & Ferry and Freight Select. "I have been talking to leaders from all areas of the industry for many years about the need for a UK-based show for shippers, retailers, manufacturers and forwarders to meet with their service providers and learn about developments which will significantly impact their future business," commented Jervis. "I am very excited that we are now launching an event which will meet that need."
The event will benefit from a high level seminar programme put together by different organisations specialising in road, rail, air and deep sea shipping as well as an exhibition and networking events.
Multimodal has the support of key industry organisations including The FTA, BIFA, COA and the Rail Freight Group amongst others. It also has strong media partnerships in place with WorldCargo News, International Freighting Weekly, Bulk Materials International, and International Transport Journal (ITZ) and more.
