TBA BV
Freight Simulation Tools and Port Operations Software
Container Simulation
TBA: Container Terminal Simulation For Optimum Design, and Optimized Operations. TBA is a world-renowned computer simulation and modeling consultancy located in the Netherlands, providing container terminal simulation services, for marine operations, but also for intermodal facilities.
Port Operations Software
Modeling the port operations allows customers to analyse various operating strategies, layouts, handling systems, scenarios to assist in designing, determining and deciding concerning a new facility, an expansion, or a transition from today's operation to a new mode.
Freight Planning Software
TBA are specialists in new facility design, especially in automated facilities.Founded in 1996 by Yvo Saanen and Klaas Pieter van Til, and today with over 45 engineers, TBA supports designing new terminals (Freight Planning Software), extending existing terminals, optimizing existing terminals and their operating systems, and designing equipment.
TBA has extensive experience with both traditional handling systems, as well as automated operations, having designed or being part of the design for many new semi- or even fully automated terminals.
Freight Simulation Tools
In order to get an accurate, lean and highly productive design, TBA uses state-of-the-art simulation tools. Trafalquar, TBA's strategic long term berth analysis tool, and Timesquare, TBA's comprehensive terminal operations model cover terminal operations to a great detail, and can answer a broad range of questions with precision up to +/- 5%.
The tools have been applied in more than 60 projects, and cover business logic, driver behaviour, and traffic interaction for all possible modes of operation. Apart from detailed statistics, the models provide a powerful 3D visualization, to understand and validate processes, and present to decision-makers.
Proven tools for software design, Performance Benchmarking, and Testing.
In addition, TBA provides the unique product CONTROLS, an emulation model applied for software testing, tuning and training of terminal operation software.
